A Little Present maintains friendship

I had a very lovely, thoughtful and warm visit today from a very good friend who lives in Hoofddorp.Well, if I mention about Hoofddorp, you’ll probably have no idea where on earth this place is.To make you feel more comfortable and familiar with the place,I shall say Hoofddorp is a place close to Amsterdam, and so... not far from Schipol Airport.I think now you will have a clearer idea where about it locates.Anyway, that’s not the main point I’m going to talk about now. What I’m telling you is actually my friend came from more than 200 kilometers,to be precise, a return trip will be more than 400km  to see me,to spend a precious afternoon time with me, I must say,I appreciate her visit and I consider it a little present that maintains our friendship.

It was Thurseday evening when I got a merry phone call from Tully who asked if I had already plan for upcoming weekend. In fact, since the last few years,I have been reserving Saturday and Sunday mostly for myself and my family. For at least I need much sleep lately and I don’t want to wake up much early when I don’t have to go for routine work.Furthermore,I  love to spend time staying home, reading, cleaning for example,and/or doing lovely things with my kids, especially on Saturday my daughter goes playing Hockey and very often the team will be on match so I prefer to go sitting watching the match at hockey field. And on Sunday I would rather spend peaceful time doing any things that will make me happy as well.

Tully and I have been friends for a long time. And as our friendship grows,I count her one of my family.I am truely content and jouful after I heard that she would come to visit me.That’s a blessing. And I certainly open my arms to welcome her right away and as always.

I took Tully and her sister to see Maasmechelen when her last visit in May(2013)
So I just told her I didn’t have any particular plan. Only if she would come on Saturday, she might have to go watch hockey match with me.But yet she said she would come on Sunday. That’s much better,I therefore planned a lovely and pleasant day for both of us.

So on Sunday, after I got her first sms at about 8.30 a.m to inform me that she would be in Heerlen already at 9.53, I stood up and made myself ready to go pick her up at the railway station Heerlen. Eventhough it’s mentioned on internet and that we have been informed there would be no train to and from Heerlen this weekend, instead passengers will be provided with a bus,in cooperation with NS (Nederlandse Spoorwegen) to transport them from and to Heerlen to and from Hoensbroek as temporary terminal this weekend to get on and off train there (relating to work in progress of railways to Heerlen), the expected arrival time was right on time and so was Tully in Heerlen.

I picked up Tully to my place first. After lunch and acclimatising, I took her to Castle Terworm for afternoon tea.We chitchated, caught up with each other and made some few pictures in the garden of the castle before leaving the place for diner in a Chinese restaurant in Aachen with another two friends of mine.
I Love Castle,so when friends come,I always bring them to visit a castle.
Everyday is a good day, so is today.Besides,Tully has made two new friends as well.We all were delighted and had such a good time. Her visit today was for me “a litlle present” and that will maintain our friendship.

I brought her back to the railway station at about 6 p.m to make sure that she will be home in Hoofddorp not too late. The traveling time is approximately two and a half hour from Heerlen to Hoofddorp, but there may be some delay as it has happened very often with Dutch railways from the past till todays. So better to take this fact into account and be prepared.

A warm hug of leave-taking was not only the warmth of amity but also cordiality to strenghten our camradeship. She was going home with elation and cheerful smile and so was I.
I Showed them once the very Beautiful Castle Hoensbroek
