Some useful Thai words

It has been a while that I haven’t written and I realize that. I won’t excuse that I rarely have time.I mean...if I’d really love to write something,I would have made time for it. I have just been fairly busy with load of things lately...work,family,hobbies and so on. And that I don’t want to miss a thing, I therefore try to devide time in appropriat proportions. And so I made it today with writing.Well, let’s talk about some useful Thai words.

Ones of those popular Thai words foreigners learn deliberately and/or by accident are “sawaddie” and “khob-khun”

Those who have been in Thailand already, must have heard these two words very often.Hearing a word from time to time, you’ll learn it automatically.

“Sawaddie” is a greeting word whereas “khob-khun” is a thank you one. When the Thai people greet they will say “Sawaddie Kha”or “Sawaddie Krab”

“kha”and “krab” are stop words as well as refined expression. “Kha”is used by female whilst “krab”by male.So to thank in Thai, male may say “khob-khun-krab” and female “khob-khun-kha”

Whether to greet or to thank, gesture always accompanies words.Thai folks will put the palms of the hands together as lotus shape when they greet and thank, and of course with "smiling face"

Till next time,
(laew/phob/kan/mai/kha),
Sawaddie kha
